A Time to Sew offers long-arm quilting services at the store.  You may bring your quilt to the store anytime during our normal business hours Sunday through Saturday.  We will assist you with pattern and thread choices, and we have great prices too.

Below are some suggestions for preparing your quilt and our price structure.  If you have any questions, please call the store.  Our business hours are:

For a successful outcome, all quilts accepted for quilting need to fit the following guidelines:

• The quilt backing and batting must be at least 4 inches larger on each side than the quilt top. Add 8 inches to the length and width of your quilt when you are buying the backing and batting for an easy measurement.
• The top and backing of your quilt must be pressed prior to bringing them in. A good method for keeping the quilt wrinkle free after pressing is to fold it carefully and carry it on a hangar.
• Please snip stray threads from both the top and backing.
• We supply the thread and pattern for your quilt. Our machine works best with certain brands of thread. If given enough time, we can order a requested color of thread for your quilt. An additional fee is charged for variegated threads based on the size of the quilt.
• Additional work can be completed for a fee of $10 per hour. For example, we can piece your backing together.
